Trinh Mai is a second-generation Vietnamese American multimedia artist. Through her contemplative practice on the refugee and immigrant experiences, Mai explores themes of displacement, injustice, resilience, and hope. Her large-scale murals may be seen in Los Angeles, including at the Tom Bradley International Terminal at the Los Angeles International Airport.
Mai was born to Vietnamese war refugees in Pennsylvania before relocating to the San Francisco Bay area at an early age. Mai received her BFA from San Jose State University.
