What is and what is not features Giorgiko’s new body of work that draw on the artist duo’s experience of the 2020 pandemic. With turmoil in their home city of Los Angeles and throughout the nation, Darren and Trisha personally experienced a tragic and permanent shutdown of the art school where they taught over a hundred students, while wrestling societal injustices affect close friends.
“2020 revealed much of what was hidden in us — both things that brought us hope and things that deeply grieved us. ‘What is and what is not’, as a body of work, explores the various questions raised and revelations experienced by so many during that tumultuous year.”
What is and what is not mark Giorgiko’s fourth solo exhibition where the entire body of oil paintings has been sold. The exhibition is duo’s second exhibition at Thinkspace Projects, and their first in the newly opened main gallery.
